Important Notice for Patients
These terms apply to patients using OperIQ's AI-powered booking system to schedule appointments with healthcare providers. Your healthcare provider uses OperIQ to streamline appointment scheduling, but all medical decisions and care remain under the direct supervision of your healthcare provider.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the OperIQ appointment booking system to schedule appointments with your healthcare provider, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept all terms, you must not use the booking system.
2. What OperIQ Does
OperIQ is an AI-powered appointment scheduling tool that helps you book appointments with your healthcare provider. The system automates the booking process but does not provide medical advice or diagnoses. Your healthcare provider remains solely responsible for all medical care and treatment decisions.
Important: Not Medical Advice
AI-Powered System: OperIQ uses artificial intelligence (AI) to collect patient information from your medical records and book appointments. The software is specifically designed not to provide medical advice. However, AI systems can make mistakes.
Critical Warning: If the OperIQ system appears to provide any medical advice, recommendations, or health-related guidance, you must ignore this information completely. This would be an error in the system. Only your healthcare provider can provide medical advice.
The OperIQ AI system is designed only to:
- Schedule appointments based on availability and appointment types
- Access relevant medical record information for scheduling purposes
- Coordinate appointment timing and logistics
The system does not and cannot:
- Provide medical advice or diagnoses
- Replace consultations with your healthcare provider
- Make medical decisions about your care
- Interpret medical information or test results
3. Your Responsibilities
When using the OperIQ booking system, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate contact information: This information is critical for patient identification and ensuring appointments are scheduled correctly. Incorrect contact information could result in appointments being booked for the wrong patient or missed communications
- Providing accurate appointment preferences and health information when requested
- Arriving on time for scheduled appointments
- Notifying your healthcare provider if you need to cancel or reschedule
- Following your healthcare provider's policies and procedures
- Keeping your contact information up to date: Immediately notify your healthcare provider of any changes to your phone number, email, or other contact details
4. Privacy and Your Information
OperIQ maintains industry-standard safeguards for any personal and health information accessed through our system. This may include information from your medical records that helps us schedule appropriate appointments, along with your contact details and appointment preferences. 5. Appointment Scheduling
The OperIQ system will help you find and book available appointment times with your healthcare provider. However:
- Appointment availability is determined by your healthcare provider
- Your healthcare provider may modify or cancel appointments if necessary
- Emergency medical situations should not use the booking system - contact your healthcare provider directly or seek emergency care
- The booking system is for routine appointments only
6. Service Availability
We strive to keep the booking system available, but there may be times when it's temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues. If you cannot access the booking system, please contact your healthcare provider directly to schedule your appointment.
7. Convenience Fee
OperIQ may charge a convenience fee for using the booking system. This fee is separate from any medical service charges from your healthcare provider. OperIQ may change this convenience fee at its discretion. Fee changes will not be communicated ahead of time, but you will have the choice to accept or decline the fee upon each usage of the booking system.
Your healthcare provider may be required to provide alternative means for booking appointments at no cost, in accordance with applicable laws. Please contact your healthcare provider directly for information about:
- Any convenience fees that OperIQ may charge for using the booking system
- Free alternative booking methods available to you
- How to schedule appointments without using the OperIQ system
8. Limitation of Liability
OperIQ's booking system is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any issues related to:
- Your medical care, diagnoses, or treatment
- Appointment scheduling conflicts or missed appointments
- Errors made by the AI software, including incorrect scheduling, data processing mistakes, or system malfunctions
- Any consequences resulting from software errors or technical failures
- Incorrect information processing or patient identification issues
- System downtime or unavailability
Your healthcare provider remains solely responsible for all aspects of your medical care and for verifying all appointment details. You should always confirm appointment details directly with your healthcare provider.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the booking system after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
